For your information: The birds can eat most anything you are eating including fully cooked chicken or beef with or with out the bones, spaghetti, pizza, couscous, cheese, cooked cereal so use good sense and have fun with it. Your bird's life will extend by many years on a diversified diet.

Bird food for your bird:

Chop the following veggies for your birds treat bowl everyday:

1. Carrots

2. Yams or sweet potatoes

3. Zucchini

4. Broccoli

5. Cucumber

Add: Raisins, Bean sprouts, Rainbow pasta, cooked or raw

Treats for the top of the dish: different each day for variety.

Peanut butter on a Ritz

Bite size Shredded Wheat

Cheerios

Popcorn, no salt

Vanilla Wafers

Graham crackers

Cheese crackers or puffs

Use your imagination!

Your bird can eat most anything you are eating with these exceptions:

NO AVOCADO

NO CHOCOLATE

NO ALCOHOL OF ANY KIND

NO ICEBERG LETTUCE

NO CAFFEINE (tea, coffee, etc.)

NO CARBONATED BEVERAGES

NO SEEDS FROM FRUITS

All fruits are good for your bird:

pears, melons, bananas, grapes, papaya, mango, etc.

You can also use frozen mixed veggies just run them under the hot water tap, no need to cook. Try cooked pasta, with or without sauce , plain or with meat.

Keep trying things until you find out what your bird likes. Like children they can be picky eaters. Don't give up hope! Over time they will develop a broader palette. Just keep presenting them with the different foods and you'll be surprised!
