Ken Globus: March 7, 1946 - Sept. 10, 2008
 The Bird Whisperer

Hi everyone,

It's now been a little over a month since my brother, Ken Globus, passed away, and in that time, I've received hundreds of extremely heartfelt emails from folks on almost every continent mourning his loss.   I just want to say thank you so much.  I simply had no idea Ken meant so much to so many people, and I can't even tell you how many times I've been completely choked up while reading your beautiful messages.  Please know that after 57 years of having a close relationship with Ken, there were many things you folks told me about him that helped to paint an even more complete picture of him for me.  I'll be forever grateful for that.

One other interesting thing that came out of all the wonderful notes I received were a couple of dozen suggestions that we set up some type of mechanism where people could donate in Ken's honor.  So we have. We've set up an account to help fund Ken's daughter Shelby's college education, and if you feel inclined to contribute to it, write a check (in any amount) made out to the Shelby Globus Education Fund, then send the check to the following address:

The Shelby Globus Education Fund
c/o: Puget Sound Bank
10500 NE 8th Street,  Suite 1800
Bellevue, WA 98004

One of the last things Ken ever asked of me was to do everything I can to take care of his daughter, my niece.  And helping her get a college education is the best way we could think of.  I realize the economy's bad right now.  There's not a lot of disposable income floating around.  But if you'd like to help Ken's daughter through college, this is a great way to do it.

Thank you again for your very kind messages - and thanks in advance for choosing to help Shelby.

- Dennis Globus
